Description

For cleaning the nozzle after dynamic flow calibration is enabled for A1 series printers. The printed model is made using the rubber cleaning brush that comes with the official accessory box.

1.Use the small-sized wrench from the official accessory kit to unscrew and remove the metal part.

2.Attach the printed part to the metal piece.

3.Cut a 5-size rubber brush and insert it into the groove of the print (According to@laser_mike feedback, using your own printed TPU may cause excessive stress when cleaning the brush head and cause the print to break, so it is recommended to use an official rubber brush, which is softer and more resistant to high temperatures.)

4.Use the wrench to install the modified part back into its original position.

good luck everyone, I can’t wait for more feedback in this. mine broke off already and didn’t even get through one print without having to pause and remove it. the small metal arm bends too easily and deforms. great idea but I personally think it’s back to the drawing board and re design part for better strength and slightly tighter tolerances

Hi there, Thank you for your detailed feedback on the nozzle brush add-on. I'm sorry to hear that the first version didn't perform as expected in your setup. Your concerns are valid, and I appreciate you bringing them to my attention. PETG may indeed be a better material because it has a higher heat resistance. In my experience, using PLA+ has yielded good results, and the brush has maintained its integrity over multiple prints. However, the variability in individual setups can lead to different outcomes. The design is intentionally thin in section (1.2mm) and the connection is not reinforced to ensure that there is no potential damage to the metal parts due to the hard brush material. Based on your feedback, I will consider revisiting the design to improve strength and ensure that it can withstand mechanical stress more reliably. I appreciate your patience and understanding, and I will work hard to perfect the design. Thanks again for your insights, and I'm looking forward to more feedback from the community. Best regards

I noticed that when all axes are homed that your little brush add on bumps into the build plate. I think PETG might be a better material due to the heat present when it’s taking a poop the nozzle is going to melt the Piece and most likely will get gunked up. Due to the fact the extruder head rests in the position and rhe nozzle heat melts the nozzle brush that I printed from TPU. the Piece that came with the kit probably works better but I wasn’t willing to cut it until I tested your model and it failed miserably sorry to report
