Description

Boost Me (for free)

Please give a 👍 if you like it, it'll help others discover it! If you'd like to take your support to the next level, please give me a 🚀. Thank you so much!

With this Openscad 3D model you can easily create and customize your QR Codes by simply clicking the “Customize” button on this page (only available for desktop and mobile browsers).

Don't worry about the QR code stand, I've got you covered: Ultimate QR Code Stand 🎉

You can change the following parameters:

  1. QR Code type (Text, Wi-Fi, Phone Call, vCard)
  2. Background, QR Code and Border dimensions
  3. Optional labels (position top/bottom/both and a lot of fonts)
  4. Optional hole for attaching to a keyring / keychain
  5. Optional round blocks
  6. Optional magnet (you can use the magnets listed under “Bill of Materials”)
  7. …and much more!

Special characters are not supported by the MakerWorld customizer; you can download the .scad file and open it with OpenSCAD if you need to use them.

*** Types of QR Codes you can create ***

Text QR Codes: These codes provide a direct link to a plain text message, such as a generic string, email address or website URL. They are ideal for sharing contact information or directing users to specific web pages.

Wi-Fi QR Codes: Eliminate the hassle of manually entering Wi-Fi passwords by using Wi-Fi QR codes. Simply scan the code, and your device will automatically connect to the specified network.

Phone Call QR Codes: Initiate phone calls with a single tap using phone call QR codes. Scan the code, and your device will automatically dial the specified number.

vCard QR Codes: Share your business card details effortlessly with vCard QR codes. Scan the code, and the contact information will be instantly saved to the user's device.

*** How to print multi-color ***

If you DON'T HAVE the AMS, configure Bambu Studio to pause the printing process at the exact right moment: immediately after the background color has finished printing and just as the QR code is about to start.
This allows you to switch filament colors and achieve the desired multicolor effect.

Here's how to add a pause at the layer:

  1. Right-click the green button with the white plus sign in the slicer interface.
  2. Select "Add Pause".

The right pause layer depends on the thickness of the background.

If you HAVE the AMS and want a greater color control over each individual part, you can go to the "Parts Download" tab and download each part individually (.STL) and then import/merge them in Bambu Studio.

Make sure to answer "Yes" to the question “Load these files as a single object with multiple parts?”.

Once done you will find the parts already positioned on the plate and then you can decide what color to give to the background, qr code and labels.

I can't seem to get this to work. I want to print it with my P1S + AMS. I generated the QR code with a label. I downloaded the 3 parts one at a time. I go to import the three 3MF files and select all three. Bambu Studio doesn't prompt that it detects a file with multiple parts and just brings in all three as separate objects. What am I doing wrong here?

You need to import the STLs simultaneously (don't download the 3MFs). To do this, go to "Import" in Bambu Studio, select all the files you want to import, and press "OK".

Yup that's what I did. It never asked about detecting multiple objects. Tried restarting Bambu Studio, tried renaming the files. Tried moving the files to a local drive instead of my 3d printing share on my server. I ended up giving up and just manually adding a color change. It is printed now.

Did you download the STL or 3MF files? I just tried now and it works correctly with the STL files, using the latest version of Bambu Studio.

Try using a more contrasting color (e.g., black, brown, etc.) or print it larger. I also see that the light is creating shadows on the QR code that could make it difficult to scan. The 3D model is correct, it works for hundreds of people. Let me know how it goes.

I am having an issue with Dimensions here. Trying to make a QR (text) with the option to have at the top, but the label seems to get cut off at the top. If I try and resize it all to (as an example) 55mm to bring in the top more, all sides increase, but the label still gets cut off. Any thoughts? without a label, works fine.

In the customizer, was the QR code displayed correctly? And during slicing in Bambu Studio? If you were already encountering the error in the customizer, please share the settings you entered so I can see if I can replicate your issue. I've just conducted a series of tests using various label and QR code sizes, and everything appears to be functioning as expected.

Thanks for your effort! I would love to print this but after customizing (WiFi QR), downloading the .3MF file and importing that into a blank new project in BambuStudio I get this error you can see in the attached screenshot. I'm on macOS and don't have Windows. But I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here, right? 😳

Sorry to hear you're running into some issues. Try searching for 'Free Online stl repair' on Google, the top result (FormWare) should be able to get you back on track. I hope Bambu Studio implements the 'Fix model' feature in the Mac version as well.
