Description

While I was making my Embroidered Earrings I was thinking about how I've always just wrapped my extra emboridery floss around the little skein and threw them in boxes or baggies and figured I needed to start getting organized. I knew that there were bobbins people used and figured, why not just make my own!

I made both traditional type bobbins but then also made ones with an extra section because I like to wrap my partial threads (when I've taken some away from the 6) and put that in it's own section. Then, I can either access the full 6 thread if I want or I can take from the partials that are wrapped.

After I made the bobbins, I had them just sitting in a box again and through I should make a box like I've seen. Instead of making it all from scratch like I did for my Jump Ring Organizer, I decided to start with the Adjustable Box and Lid shape that Tinkercad already had. It has lots of customization options. I then made slots so the bobbins would easily fit in the box! (You may notice a couple don't fit, those were testers that were thicker, I ended up making them thinner, but also wanted to make use of my testers so I just plopped them in it.)

The box holds 45 bottins. There are 5 sections of 9 slots. I just wanted to make the box not too big and kind of ended up on this amoutn on accident. I also shared the design on Tinkercad so you can Copy + Tinker with it if you want to change it up.

I decided to add slots for elastic bands to help hold the box closed, but I've also provided files for a box that DOES NOT have those cuts into it.
