Description

My simple spider design makes yet another appearance with this black widow spider on spider web headband meant to be printed with FLEXIBLE filament.

You change colors between layers to get the Natural color for the web, Black for the spider, and Red for the hourglass.

A hole was left below the hourglass in order for the red to show. When I did it solid, the red hourglass didn't show up well. See pictures for examples.

Once printed, you need to sew or glue elastic to the ends. I designed it to fit ¼" wide elastic. I think white works well with the color of the web.

Printing Recommendation (not tried with this design yet)

Printing this can be tricky if you have bad luck with the Pause function like I do. I could not ever get it to work right with this mask so I gave up, but if you can, add a Pause between the layers and when the printer pauses, go into the menu and do a color change and switch to a new flexible filament color.

If you have back luck with pausing like me, here is how I got it to work.

  • Set the print to have a Color Change between the various layers and have a prime tower to help.
  • When your print goes to print the prime tower, go into the control screen and tell the printer to Pause.
  • When it pauses, go into the menu and change the filament.
  • Resume the print. Hopefully it will finish the prime tower getting the filament ready and continue the rest of the print with the new color.
