Description

Little sewing kit inspired by 1800s design

Split the Model to Objects via the Slicer

First layer: .52mm line width, .25mm height for best adhesion
Used Filament: BBL PLA, Red Matte
Simple little cute pocket sewing kit, that is inspired by a 1800s design :).
The middle part can hold needles up to 55mm length.
the yarn holder has 4 little wedge-shaped cutouts to clamp the yarn ends.
the housing lid is knurled for easy screw on and off

The print profile is no longer public

there was not a bamboo Labs A1 mini profile out there so slicing this over it looked like there was some errors. The threading on both caps does not seem to work overall the item looks nice and it fit together I just can't get it to screw down

Printed in black PLA, looks really nice with the knurled top and the "inscriptions" on it! The lid threads fit well, but I'm not sure the lid will stay closed over time, especially during travel. A small notch to keep it in place could be useful, perhaps? The lid for the needle holder was a really, really tight fit, however. So much that I wasn't sure I'd get it off again in one piece once I actually managed to thread it and screw it down. It got a bit better after a few attempts, but it being a round, small design it's tricky to screw and unscrew. Maybe a wedge or wing-nut design would make it easier while still keeping it (somewhat) in the same style?
