Description

This is a pole mount for the gen 3 Starlink dish. It's based off a 3d scan of the kickstand that I modified. I originally made the 1.65 inch mount specifically for the Harbor Freight telescoping flag pole and then added a few more sizes that were requested. If you need one of a specific size just let me know in the comments and I'll make one. The mount is secured to the pole using two 1-in to 3-in hose clamps. It is a very snug and solid mount, but use it at your own risk.

There are two different versions of each pole size. One that is a single piece which requires a lot of support and one where the tabs are separate pieces that have to be glued into place. The cut version is easier to print with much less support, but requires more work sanding and filing down the sides of the tabs to get a snug fit into the body of the mount. You will have to secure the tabs into the body with super glue as they can still pop out without it. When inserting the tabs make sure the slanted side are facing outward and that there isn't a lip on the angled portion facing the front. I added a photo of the cut tabs installed for reference.

The print profiles should have support blockers on the sides and circular parts of the model but if they don't I included a screenshot for one of the cut models to show what the support should look like.

If you print my model and it works well for you please rate and comment letting me know how it turned out.

I have a pole that has an OD of 45mm. Are you able to adjust for that size? I am not sure why Starlink thought this mounting style was a good option. Gen 2 was perfectly fine!

I can absolutely do that for ya. I've never actually used Starlink myself as I made this for a friend that travels a lot in their camper. They love that their new dishy doesn't have a pole sticking out of it at all times, but this weird wedge mount is clearly not ideal. I feel like there should also be screw holes where the wedge is for other mounting options.

I went ahead and uploaded a couple print profiles for a 45mm pole. Let me know if they work out!

Many Thanks for that! I'm doing the installation tomorrow. Will take some photos and let you know how it went. I have done dozens of Gen 2 Installs but this is the first Gen 3 install.

It fits snug but the little teeth on the front don't snap in. Either they are to far forward or the mount doesn't slide in enough. I made it out of PLA + could that be my problem? I believe some grinding could make it work.

it’s a very snug fit and I only tried it with petg. I’m sure if you sand down the tabs it would fit better, but I’d just switch to petg if I were you. It’ll flex better and be more I’ve resistance.

Amazing print. I used ABS so I was able to use MEK/Carb Cleaner to attach the tabs. It fit on the first try and was snug. I created a collar to use the 2" print with a sch 40 1-1/2" PVC pipe. Works great!
