I've been looking for the perfect to-do list management system for years. I have tried many digital tools (Onenote, Notion.io, MS Planner, etc.) and am currently using Noteplan, which is a really great tool. Digital to-do lists are great and can be synchronised and maintained across multiple devices.
However, I have always had problems with taking notes & creating to-dos quickly and spontaneously, e.g. during a meeting: searching for and opening the to-do list tool, typing in the to-do, setting a reminder, etc. simply took too long.
During my strolls through social media (especially desk setups), I kept noticing Ugmonk's analogue to-do list stands. I liked the idea of being able to spontaneously record tasks and ideas as an ideal addition to my digital tools.
What I don't like about it is the waste of paper.
Although there are some 3D prints which have already tackled this topic, none of them support rewritable cards.
That's why I set to work on this project and modelled a to-do list stand inspired by Ugmonk that can use reusable cards. I also made minor design changes to make it even easier to use.
And btw: I am a complete newbie to the 3D printing world, so please bear with me :)
Key-Features
Minimalistic To-Do list stand
Can be printed in any colour (combination) so that it fits perfectly on your desk.
Uses rewritable / reusable cards (basically like a whiteboard)
It's not messy like on a big whiteboard. Once it has dried, the colour no longer comes off so easily. However, with a damp cloth or an eraser, you can remove written colour immediately.
Comes with a handy stencil to quickly create new ToDo-lists
Uses magnets to make swapping of cards easier.
Material required
Rewriteable Cards: 3 x 5 inch / 76mm x 127mm. I'm using these.
Whiteboard marker / Foil pen: 0.6mm. I'm using these.
4x 5mm magnets
Settings
I've used 0.4 nozzle, gyroid infill and 6 bottom shell layers for the stand.
If you face issues with warping, add some brim.
I've used Overture Matte PLA for my prints but use whatever you want.
Use smooth PEI plate for nice finish of Separator & Stencil
Assembling
After printing, just put the magnets into the stand & separator. In my case, the magnets went in very loosely, so I used a drop of superglue.
No need to print out the example card. This is just for your own measurements if needed.
Instruction
Use the stencil to create some ToDo lists. As you can see in one of the pictures, place the cards in the card tray and the stencil on top. This prevents the cards and the stencil from slipping while you draw the list.
Think about what kind of symbol should indicate different states of the task. For inspiration:
Write down your Todos for today, tomorrow, for the future. Use the top left line to indicate “Today” etc. and the top right line to write down the date.
After you have worked through a list, place it on the separator or push it under the pile of cards.
Come up with your own workflow and share it in the comments :)
Next steps
I plan to offer more stencils for the stand. Among other things, there will be a stencil for UI designers with the most important icons & wireframes for quick prototyping.

Feel free to remix this!
I'd very happy to see the Stand on your desk! Please share your photos :)
