Description

A simple and compact ventilation solution for Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra

This spacer allows you to connect 4 inch ducting directly to an Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra, to keep resin fumes and VOCs away from your workspace

The space that my Mars 4 Ultra occupies is not big enough for a dedicated enclosure. This spacer was designed to be as compact as possible to fit a ventilation solution for the printer in the cramped space.

The spacer connects to 4 inch ducting which is then connected to a 4 inch inline fan (depicted in first picture). This produces negative airflow pressure in the printing chamber. I have included a rectangular hole on the front of the spacer itself and a circular hole on the other side of the reducer cone. The holes are for pressure relief. These holes are intentional asearlier versions of the design did not have these holes which caused the airflow along the ducting to be severely choked.

Airflow can still be obviously felt at the end of 10 metres of ducting with this iteration of the design.

The spacer itself is split into two halves which are held together with retainer clips. After removing the retainer clips, the front half can be removed from the spacer assembly independent of the rear half, to aid easier removal of the vat. The rear half of the spacer connects to the reducer cone. The reducer cone connects to the 4 inch ducting adapter.

The assembly of the 4 parts are completely toolless. The parts sit loosely within each other with more than a few mm's of tolerance so that the cover of the printer comes off without difficulty and the spacer assembly itself would fit without issue on the first go
