Description

I use a number of these lower power micro computers, mostly Dell Optiplex 3060 Micro, and wanted a rack that I could stack my nodes. I designed this from scratch to fit these PC's like a glove, to be secure and not require any tools or screws etc. when assembling, all slots together with ease. I have allowed for space at the rear to allow for cable management.

Hope this is of use.

I will likely add a design for 4+ pc's soon.

Wonderful design, easy print and assembly. Note, getting the systems in, just take the time to disconnect and hook them up once they are in place. This is not my Promox cluster, just three workstations (several flavours and use cases). My proxmox cluster is on 3 different systems in a 10" rack. This works really well.

This might seem like a dumb question, but here goes: I also happen to have several of these same micro PCs (two 3070s and a few old 7040s), but I just don't really know what to do with them. What do you use them for?

Hi, I have Proxmox Virtual Environment running on two of them, then each runs a few virtual machines such as Home Assistant for Home Automation, Plex for movies and TV, minecraft server for the kids. A good choice of machine because of the low power consumption and the intel quicksync CPU's are great at, for example, transcoding movies. I also run Blue Iris CCTV on one machine.
