I love excavators, and ProfessorBoots did an amazing job in designing an RC model of one. These aesthetic modifications are designed to resemble a more realistic excavator. I chose Kobelco as it is a personal favourite. Do comment if you have any questions or requests.
Note: I have not finished building the model, apologies for any hiccups if there is any!
Guide
- Use a torch or flame to get rid of white cut marks from supports/brims. Especially useful for the edges of the filleted Rear Cover and Step
- Use only a tiny amount of superglue to attach the Ladder onto Step Mat and hold in place for a few seconds to let the glue cure.
- The modified models does not alter any parameters that may affect the building process. However Rear Cover and Lower Body goes together due to the filleted rear.
- Print the Step Mat, Rear Cover Mat and Ladder in PLA
Future Plans
- Rear Cover equipment rack to store props
