Description

Note: I've released a significant remix. The new version is available here!

I created this side-brace to use with the related models, because I was unable to cut or order a length of 2020 extrusion to fit properly between the two side legs.

Note: This is just the brace in the middle. The upper and lower pieces can be found in the two referenced models. The original one includes models for 4 variations of the AMS as step files. The remixed one added another variation, and increased the width of the channel to 20.2mm as 3MF files. Both my AMS units happened to be V3, but some people have different versions, and may have to print the upper parts from one model and the lower from another. This middle brace has a 20.3mm channel and will fit a little loose, to easily position then fix in place using an M5X10 and M5 t-nut.

Update 1: I've added braces that can hold up to 6 build plates.

Update 2: I added another model to the list for new AMS with spacings of 72/73/72mm

a very good design which printed easily. sorry about my first comment, that should have critisized not this extension to the stackable rack or therapist itself but Bambulab for changing the measurements of AMS in a short time several times.

You've commented on the wrong model. My model doesn't touch the AMS, so it can't not fit. However, since you mentioned it, I read the comments of the two models that I link to. These are the models that actually touch the AMS. The first comment I read mentioned that there's a NEW AMS, with a different spacing, and the commenter uploaded a new model for it. As a courtesy, I've added a link to that model as well.

sorry, didn’t want to criticise your work. I must admit, I was kinda disappointed to have printed two versions and none was fitting my AMS. But my anger was not about you but about Bambulab Company, changing the measurements several times in a rather short time.

Oh, no worries...I understand the frustration. I agree that it's odd that there are so many changes in the footprint of the AMS. I hope the new v6 works for you!

My model just provides the side braces. The three linked designs provide the top and bottom brackets. You'll have to determine which one is correct for your AMS. If it's very new, it's most likely the third model. The upper and lower brackets are connected with 2 x 400mm 2020 aluminum profile extrusions on each side. The lid of the lower unit goes far enough back to stay open, but if you want it to fully open then make the profiles 420mm long instead. If you want additional stability, you can use a 380mm cross piece in the front and/or back, at the top. So, you'll need to purchase: - 4 x 400mm - 2020 aluminum profile extrusions for the sides (or 420 if you want to top open fully) - I used 400mm. You can also optionally use any or all of the following: - 1 or 2 x 380mm - 2020 aluminum profile extrusions for the top in the front and/or back - 2 x 2020 series L-shape inside corner connector / joint brackets to connect each 380 piece to the sides - 2 x M5 x 10 or M5 x 12 - countersunk screws to secure each of the side pieces to the aluminum profiles
