Description

A handy companion for lightweight fishing.

Easy to carry in your jacket pocket, trouser pocket or small fishing tackle box.

Somehow video's are not properly displayed. Link to the original video (with sound, you can hear the clicking of the sliders): https://youtu.be/-HubPGrIHHA

Completely Print in Place.

After printing you can easily fold them and lock them using the built-in sliders.

First fold the point that goes into the ground and then the V-holder. The V-holder keeps the tip protected and in place after folding.

If after printing it seems that the slides are difficult to release, carefully pry them loose by placing a small screwdriver in the narrow slit at the end of the slide.

Hi Trev, Did you try to pry them loose as I described in the text? Put a (small) screwdriver or knife in de slit (below your thumb on the photo).. The bottom of the sliders are probably a little bit fused by the bridging above. I have forseen a space of 2 missing layers as free space, but the printlines sag a little and slightly fuse to the sliders. You have to break them loose. Hope this helps.

I was able to free it! i printed a couple of others, those were a bit stuck too. looks like it’s fusing at the sides rather than at the overhang.

Printed great, works as intended. Used a small screwdriver to free the latches and they lock in place no problem.

Printed great, and I gave it to a friend who fishes quite a bit. Will provide additional feedback after he uses it. A little concerned about the tip if it were to be sunk in the ground that was rocky or hard as I fear it may deform the tip . Perhaps some form of tripod that folds out to add additional stabilization. Awesome design though and he was very happy to receive as a gift.

Thanks for the feedback. And yes you're correct. It's not for a rocky or hard ground. In that case use a professional pole rest with steel tip. It is however ideal to clamp in between two rocks (like in a slit). Did you print in PLA or PETG?
