Description

This is a replacement for the golf ball holder on the Evolution D5 golf cart. Originally I designed this as a two piece unit, however I've now improved that design and its now a single piece unit that does not require any supports for printing. It has a drainage hole (if it is ever needed). I also included 3 locating pins (under the top flange) that go into the “old” tee holes and a screw block that one of the screws from the old ball holder goes in to keep it in place.

Be careful with the screw block as the old screw does not need to be screwed all the way in. The locating pins are designed to be embedded 2mm into the flange but they will snap off if too much pressure is applied to them when fitting.

What you see in the bin is some rubber and felt so items would not rattle around when driving.

Great design. I had to flip it 180' on the bed for my P1S and had adhesion issues at the edges so put it to a 45' angle on the bed which cleared up most issues. Printing a second with brims on the PEI plate to see if that clears everything up. Nice job!

I am not sure how to remix like thingiverse... but I plan to modify this as a snap into place from the top similar to Jack'd carts. I also plan to create a mount for a DS18 marine head unit for my speaker upgrade.... Ill keep you updated, thanks for doing the hard part!

Ok. I uploaded a single piece file now. Its just the two components joined together - it looks a little neater when printed.

how did you flip this. I have used twice and when it gets to the top to make the top plate it spaghetti up. thanks in advance

For the life of me, I cant understand what orientation you use to print this without supports?

Just rotate it so the top flange sits on the printer plate. It doesn't need supports - but if you want to use supports turn them on.

I have tried twice to print this on my BambuLab A1 printer to no avail. will print the box but not the upper portion. I’m very new to 3D printing and have only printed about 7 items. this was a Christmas gift for my son, he just loves it but very frustrating for me because it won’t print the whole tray. any ideas?
