Description

I was inspired by the Bambu X1C to try and get some better performance from my old Ender5 Plus. I started with making some modifications to the frame and increasing rigidity. I added some aluminum corner brackets where possible and then decided that the crossbar relocation brackets that I had printed from Thingiverse were not doing much good. I designed up these braces to provide rigidity and move the brace further down on the frame. Doing so will also allow me to relocate my camera for monitoring prints inside the enclosure.

After installing these braces my Ender 5 Plus frame is much more rigid and the cross brace is definitely out of the way for observing first layer, while also now providing some room for a camera up front.

I printed these in black ASA as I tend to run the enclosure quite warm when printing higher temp materials. (though I also need a scrubber as the smell of ASA or ABS is bad).

Assembly is easy with a few added M5x20 and M5x 10 screws and T-slot nuts. No modification is needed to the aluminum extrusions.
