Description

ROPE Planter

Design

This planter is inspired from other simple planters that are wrapped in brown rope. The texture is detailed and imitates perfectly the rope feeling. This time I tried to design a planter with a smaller base, because I think the design is much smoother and eye pleasing. In the bottom part of the planter you can find a hidden dripping tray that is seamlessly snapping with the top part, becoming one object. The twisting part is a little tricky because the object is not mirrored on both X and Y axis, is just on one of them. So if the bottom part is not fitting the top, try rotating one of them 90° in any direction.


Utility

The bottom part can be attached to the top part with just a simple twist. If you find this twist a little harder than usual, it can be either the PLA that is matte or the print that is not well done because of any other settings. In this case, trying to lube with just a drop of oil the inclined surface of the bottom part so the twisting move can be smoother:
