I made this so that the light shines evenly in all directions when a Philips Hue lightstrip is to be mounted into edge of something. This allows the lightstrip to illuminate its surroundings (for example a wall) way better in comparison to it shing directly up/down or onto the wall.
This picture demonstrates the improved light distribution with this clip:
It can be printed without supports without problems but some edges get a bit nicer with supports. Since the clips are not seen afterwards I opted to upload the profile without support.
I printed it with PETG for a little bit more durability, but it can also be printed with PLA of course.
The mounting hole is 4 mm and fits a lot of standard screws. Countsunk head screws fit perfectly into the hole.
This is is compatible with Philips Hue Lightstrip V3 and V4. It fits the strip nicely but it is still easily inserted and removed from the clip.
To ease installation, fix it with double sided adhesive tape to the place where you want to install it, then easily drill the screw through it.
