I'm not sure why Logitech puts screw holes on the back of some models making them easy to mount but on others like the C270 they basically put a useless folding tab. What is that even for? To balance the webcam on your monitor and hope it doesn't fall? Anyway, this replaces that part and has a ¼ screw thread on the back to mount it to most tripods or a Neewer arm.
Here's how to remove the useless part on the back of the C270:
- There are tiny rubber plugs on either end of the attachment on the backside of the camera. Remove the plug on the side the USB wire comes out of.
- There is a tiny screw behind it. If you don't see a screw you removed the wrong plug. Using the worlds tiniest screw driver take that screw out.
- Push something the size of the screw in the hole after the screw is out. This will push a plastic rod out the other side.
- Done! If you're cheap like me keep that plastic rod and use it to mount my adapter on the back of the camera.
