Description

I got a great deal on an old Cricut Expressions 2 vinyl cutter with only one problem - it was broken in such a way that you couldn't cut out your own designs, only the canned designs Cricut sells. So I ripped out it's brains and display. The display hole is covered with this object.

I originally designed it with clips on 4 sides but couldn't get it inserted without breaking them along one edge. So the design has them on 3 sides now but if you try to remove the cover once inserted you'll probably break the clips along another side (ask me how I know) but it still works with 2 sides of clips.

The design was printed in the given orientation with full supports (auto generated by Cura) and a pause at 2mm to change the filament. All the settings are parametric so it's easy to modify the design if needed.

I replaced the controller with this ESP32-based control board: https://www.tindie.com/products/33366583/grblesp32-cnc-development-board/ and needed a way to mount it in the Cricut, which is available at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3224607
