Description
Introducing my custom-designed bottom rod cover.
For installation, simply fold the cover to fit it onto the rod. I recommend printing it in PETG, as this material offers greater flexibility compared to PLA (refer to the photos for detailed installation instructions).
I’ve included three different sizes in the design, allowing you to print them simultaneously in under 10 minutes. This ensures you can easily find the perfect fit.
I personally chose the middle size (18.8mm), and it snapped into place with a satisfying click.

The first attempt was too small and the fit was not good so I reprinted them again but 105% scaled and it's perfect.

Yes it's butyl rubber. I use it to improve the insulation a little, in combination with bubble foil insulation on the outside to print ABS.

Dude, these worked flawlessly. Even in PLA. Super tight fit, but clicked in perfectly. Great design.
