Description

This 3D printable book holder / drawer cabinet can be made into a variety of configurations. Just keep it on your end table, night stand, or coffee table. Tuck your reading glasses in the cubby, and add some drawer stackers to store pens, a highlighter, the remote, or little trinkets nearby. The drawers are accessible from either side of the cabinet and come with two variants, with and without alignment top pins. Stack them up and let gravity hold them in place, or for a more permanent connection you can glue the boxes together with super glue or epoxy.

The .ZIP folder contains all the files and drawer boxes, the Bambu .3MF file has the build configuration featured in this video.

The main foot print is approximately 175mm x 175mm, the height will vary depending on how many drawers you add and whether or not you use the base.

All pieces are positioned in the their intended Support-Free printing position.

Pieces Included (for both .3MF & STL file types):

  • Book House Tent (top triangle piece)
  • Drawer Stacker Narrow (x2, with and without top alignment pins)
  • Drawer Stacker Large (x2, with and without top alignment pins)

  • Drawer Large (x2, divided and open)
  • Base
  • Feet (x2, angled and straight)

Boosting because I love the unique model carving to make a synthetic wood more pronounced. Would love to see more designs featuring the faux wood grain.

Why did you include 4 filaments in the bambu print profile when it only requires two? It seems unnecessary and confusing.

Those were the filaments loaded in the machine when Save was clicked. It's something you will see quite often, and will have to get used to.

This is our first upload to MakerWorld. I didn't realize that Bambu Studio automatically saved the other filaments in the AMS even though they aren't being used for the models, but that's good to know.

I'm currently printing this, I really like the impact of the darker woodgrain shown in the renders, has anyone ventured into this post print? I have printed the whole unit in 1 colour, I can paint the nails silver, just unsure about the wood grain, I feel like paint would spread between the layers and look a mess.

I wonder if you did a dark "wash" if that would give you the effect you were looking for. It would probably darken up everything a little bit, but might get into the cracks like you are hoping, good luck! I'd love to see what you come up with.

Print is amazing. I purchased if from your site when it was published. Any potential for a triangle shape drawer for the top piece?

Hey there, thanks so much. That's an interesting idea, not sure that it would work with the current triangle top since there is an inset but maybe a variant in the future :)
