Description

PLA CF is likely a little weaker than standard PLA for this use case. However, CF abs or nylon might be really strong here.

How come? Also what about PETG CF?

Carbon fiber's main benefits are making prints stiffer and more water/heat resistant. PLA is already one of the stiffest filaments, so adding stiffness doesn't really enhance PLA much, and it increases the brittleness which is already PLA's big weak point. CF is more useful in filaments that are stronger than PLA but lack stiffness. It also makes some filaments a lot easier to print because it reduces warping and moisture sensitivity (hence why it's so often used in nylon). Petg could be good!

Just using this for a laundry line so it's a bit overkill but works great nonetheless.

Had first layer issues pretty consistently on p1s. I reduced first layer speed for the infill to 50 ish. After that it printed nicely. Works as well

this was helpful because I could have a hook in a ceiling and attach something to it, as I now have a swing.

it's cool, but I haven't printed it tho but I just think if you left this outside for a while it would just stop working and snap

PLA is actually one of the most UV resistant plastics.
