Description

Heyho

This is a Slider I designed for my TUKKARI Enclosure.

I had quite some problems with my enclosure because the Z Calibration (& Homing) failed each time with my MK4 when also using PTFE tubes to the printer directly.
The tubes always stuck a little in the enclousres opening and therefore led to a calibration error.

Also I had some problems with my enclosures height not being tall enough. That also led to z calibration issues while there was a tube fitting connected to the extruder unit of the printer.

Note: The newer & higher enclosures might not have this problem. But you can still use this slider to mount your ptfe fittings to them if they also get stuck!

So I designed this slider.

It is able to moove freely and you can insert the ptfe tubes directly into it.

Simply print the parts (no supports required but you can use them for the top part if you like) and screw a M6 / M10 pneumatic fitting into the top part. Then use a M3 x 15 (+-1 mm) to combine the 2 parts together while it is already in place.

I recommend using the ptfe tubes with 2,5 mm inner diameter for a low friction!

Make sure it mooves absolutely freely! If not you can apply some wax or other dry lubricants. (But that should not be necessary!)

Make sure the tube fitting is oriented to the left side of the printer to get no z calibration issues.

First add the lower part and then screw the top part to the ensemble.

Have fun!

This design is made for 5 mm thick plexiglas plates. If you need other dimensions simply comment that and I can adapt the model for you!
