Description

Hey there, during the summer time I usually keep decongestant nasal spray with me due to fun allergies. However, the spray incorporates a glas bottle which is not necessarily ideal to just throw in a backpack and bounce around. Therefore, I designed this travel case for nasal sprays.

Benefits

  • Protects your nasal spray from sunlight, which can deteriorate the active ingredients
  • Bump protection, especially relevant if your spray is packaged in a glas bottle
  • No accidental release of the spray in your bag

Will it fit my spray?

The spray I am using has the specifications as per the uploaded image (they are also represented in the green bottle), please do check before printing. I suppose other manufacturers use a similar design, so you might get away with scaling the model.

Materials

I designed this having TPU as printing material in mind, therefore no supports are used. TPU will likely have best impact resistance (so it's best for being smacked around in a backpack or luggage), however you probably also get decent functionality with PETG for this. If you have only access to PLA, that might also work - not because its tough (because its not) but because its higher stiffness and strength compared to the two other materials mentioned. So, the benefits listed below apply, just try to store it with less bump potential.

Setup

Print the symmetrical model two times, then encapsulate your nasal spray in it and close it up with an (elastic) band - I specifically designed an indentation in the middle for the band to go. Alternatively you can also fixate it with tape or similar.

Best of luck in all your endeavours (and clear nasal pathways)!
