Description

Here is a cute design that is worthy of your desk. You could use it as a trash can, or why not hide your stationery supplies there?

What about your desk snacks?

This is a straightforward print, even though it has several parts to assemble. I like that—it makes me feel like I am contributing to the build.

Standard dimensions: 140mm x 130mm x 170mm (or depending on where you are - 5½ x 5 x 6 ½ inches)

The print scales up and down in size without issue. The smaller bin in the photos is printed at 100% (around 9cm across), and the larger one at 150%. Feel free to change it up to the maximum size of the bed, but be sure to scale each part accordingly.

The wheels swivel and roll.

I hope you enjoy this model as much as I enjoyed designing it and bringing it to life. Please give it a like, collect it, and print it out.

When done, make sure that you leave a rating and a nice comment and drop in a photo. It sounds like a lot of work on your part, but it won't take you a second, and it makes me feel better about the time I put into this. If you want to help me even more, then follow ‘Every Day Counts’ as well.😀

Assembly

  1. Remove the brims from the smaller parts and place the waste into a trash bin. Don't have a bin? See my collection. 😂
  2. Assemble each wheel by pushing each tyre into the wishbone frame. I find it easier to place the frame on a flat surface and then push the tyre in from above.
  3. Align each castor with the hole and gently twist it in to insert it into the bottom of the main bin.
  4. Add the lid to the bin.
  5. Lay the bin on the side on a flat surface.
  6. Align the push connector so that the split aligns with the vertical line on the main body. Press this into place.
  7. Repeat adding the connector pin for the other side.

The pins should be held in place by themselves. If they don't, add a Superglue drop (CA).

Thanks for that. I was keen to see how small you went.

for assembly all I noticed was the holes in the top lod part become thin and may break if your hand slips while trying to push the wheels in lol but that's my fault for not holding it better. but I could maybe add a lil thcim essay around that part or just print higher Infill and it wouldn't even ever become an issue. still works pretty perfect at 50%
