Description

This model is a magnetic base option for the Tiny Turntable and a small selection of magnetic tops, some of which are Hueforge hybrids, which are based on images sourced from Pexels

To use this model you will need to print the Tiny Turntable and also purchase 1 package of magnets at the bottom of the page. Four magnets from the package are needed for each part you will use, but please read the rest of this page first!

Please note the magnetic base and blank top option have a STEP file available here and I am happy to see remixes of these parts with lots of cool designs. Here are the available options:

The grass top makes your model appear to be in a nice green environment.

Hueforge Colours:

  • PLA Basic Jade White
  • PLA Basic Black
  • PLA Basic Bambu Green
  • PLA Basic Yellow
The stone top gives an appearance of standing on stones or gravel.

Hueforge Colours:

  • PLA Basic Jade White
  • PLA Basic Black
  • PLA Basic Blue Grey
There is also a blank top which you can print quicky in any colour - maybe even in several colours!Any colour you want!

Assembly

If you are building Tiny Turntable from scratch, please glue the magnets into the magnetic base before assembly. Put a tiny dot of superglue in the bottom of each and wait for it to dry before fixing a top to it, then follow the instruction on the Tiny Turntable page - but please read the last paragraph below first.

If you are retro-fitting this to an existing Tiny Turnable it may be a bit hard to get the existing base off. It is worth levering carefully with something stiff but soft from two sides to ensure there are no marks on the model. Please also glue in the magnets first.

Finally, in either case the magnet orientation is important so the correct poles are facing each other. Once the glue is dry on the magnets on the base place a magnet on top of each and ensure it is inserted and glued into the top in the correct orientation.

Bill of Materials

List other parts
A little glue is required to keep the magnets in place. I use a super-glue applicator with a needle nose, so as not to accidentally apply to much as it has a habit of staining plastic - although these areas are non-visible!
