This is a mount designed for use on my Surface Pro 4 and the Revopoint Pop 3D scanner. It is rather difficult holding the scanner and the tablet whilst concentrating on moving around the subject. This mount makes life a whole lot easier. Controlling the scanning software is so much more efficient with one hand spare.
I have uploaded a step file so this can be customised to other Surface Pro models or tablets.
Features are:
1.Universal M10 threaded mount (will fit a standard 3/8" camera mount snuggly).
2.Two types of handle.
3.Additional fixing holes for accessories like a LED light (will require a custom mounting plate).
4.Slots for plastic or Velcro cable ties to aid wire management.
BOM:
1.Ball head tripod mount with a 3\8" thread & adapter. I purchased this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08SLNMC49/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
2.Various M3 hex bolts to fix the handle to the brace and any other accessories.
3.2 x M5 x 10 mm hex bolts
4.2 x M5 heat sets. I used these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07LBQFYCC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
5.1 x M5 x 30 mm threaded bar or equivalent M5 bolt with the head trimmed off.
6.20mm x 1mm self adhesive felt tape or the felt side of some Velcro tape to protect the device screen (I already have a tempered glass screen protector in place).
7.2 x M3 Heat Sets if using the Type 1 Handle.
Printing:
1.No parts require support.
2.Printed with 30% infill & 3 perimeters.
3.Printed with AMZ3D black PLA.
4.Part cooling required for best results with the M10 thread. Print along the Y axis to maximise cooling capabilities regards the M10 thread.
Update: 31\01\22 Uploaded a LED Light mounting plate which attaches via the top handle fixing holes. The LED light used here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07YSF3X8K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
