it was a combination of the aux fan and the glue used as the release medium. I've noticed that the glue causes the prints to warp. shame as not using glue ruins the cold plate surface. gonna have to get a textured plate
ended up doing a bed tram by following the Bambu wiki and found the front left corner had to be loosened a lot to get it trammed. so I loosened the belt to adjust them all close to level with the tram knobs neutral. then redid the tram. also had one loose connector in the tool head. not sure which fixed it or if both together helped. hopefully this makes sense.
Some of the issues had been from nozzle, required heating and cleaning with brash brush. Other times it was from bed needing a very good cleaning with dish soap and water. Most recently I had to manually tramming/leveling my heatbed with the bed plate adjusting screws so that all four corners of the bed are exact same distance from the nozzle (used BL gcode tramming file and a piece of paper to get consistent nozzle distance from the heatbed).
