Description

I added a radius to the PTFE release end of this tool in hopes of making it stronger.

Background: The Bambu AMS Disconnect Tool designed by Jody is fantastic and I've been using it regularly for releasing the PTFE tube on by troublesome AMS bufffer. However, my PTFE disconnect connector has become very difficult to release and in the process I broke my tool. I printed my original tool with ASA which I thought would be very strong, but it still broke at the sharp corner of the tool tip.

Accepts two each of 6 x 3mm magnets for convenient storage.

V2 changes: There was an issue with the letters “AM” printing correctly. I fixed the .3MF file and replaced the profile with the new fixed version. Photos now reflect the new version.

Functions 100%. Printed several times and for some reason the "A" doesn't print/color as well as the other letters (although the "M" color is slightly off too. The "A" kind of looks that way on the original so I'm hoping it's not my printer (otherwise 5 stars).

I took a closer look at the sliced file and found there certainly was an issue with the letters. I ran a "fix" on the model and then re-colored the letters. I could see the issues in my original print, so I re-printed using the new profile; I think the problem is now really fixed. It was definitely before. I printed it several weeks ago, but just got around to reviewing it. Thank you for updating. I have a few items I need to print ASAP, but I will reprint with the updated file and let you know the results (hopefully by Sunday).

This is such a nice design and I appreciate the tweaks you made from the one you remixed it off of. I have used it at least 10 times as I am constantly tweaking my layout, and it's worked perfectly every time. I just got in my 6x3mm magnets and was prepared to glue them in place like I have seen so many times online. I was pleased to find out they pressure fit into the spots so I used a pair of plyers to push them all the way in. I don't think they are ever coming out and now the tool lives on the back of X1C. Thank you for contributing to the community!

Printed directly from bambu handy app using Amolen Triple Color Silk PLA. Cleaned with a burr remover. Had a slight issue with the first letter but it looks like maybe the other pics have the same issue…it’s truley not an issue at all as this is a functional print and it works great.

Thank you for the review. I went back and looked at what might be the issue with the consistent problems with the letter A and discovered that I had missed some of the coloring on the side of that letter, as well as on the letter M. I revised it and replaced the print profile.
