Description

I wanted a magnifying lamp with longer reach than the base that came with the lamp.

In making the base I added a usb power bank that only needs to be charged every few months.

Another feature that I added is a magnet. to hold hardware to the top

The lamp was:

The feet are optional

The feet I added:

There are two pauses in the print.

1 just before it covers two areas to add weights. I used nails. If I was doing it over again I would add a little hot melt glue to prevent them from rattling. Just make sure that none of the nails or glue go above the unfinished print. It will hit the print head when it covers the area.

2 the second pause is to add a magnet to the front area. I used a 10 x 3 x 60mm magnet. I suggest you use a little super glue to hold it in. I put a couple drops of glue in the hole then sprayed the magnet with accelerator outside of the printer. Then the glue hardens on contact.

plug the power bank in and hot melt glue it in place.
