The extra bits:

The sheath is ~29 inches long. The sword is ~37 inches long.

Blade:

  • It might be easy to swap around the 2nd and 3rd pieces of the sword. They look pretty similar. Make sure to do a dry fit to double check that everything aligns as expected.
  • You may be able to print the blade pieces without support. I used them to be safe but the support in the slots can be a little tricky to get out.
  • The pins on the blades are only there for alignment. They aren't strong so be careful when fitting them together. It should be a tight fit. Sand it a little if you feel like you have to use a lot of pressure.

Guard:

  • There are numbers on the inset faces of the guard
    • 1 is the front face, for the blade
    • 2 is the back face, for the handle
    • Make sure the number are facing up when gluing them together
    • Both should be a press fit around the blade and handle connectors
  • 2 versions of the guard
    • The regular version is mostly scaled based on the reference images I used. Felt oddly large so I also included a smaller version from my first attempt that I like better. Print both and decide which you like better.

Sheath:

  • 2 versions
    • Flat version may give better detail, but could be harder to align
      • Has mirror numbers on the faces to help with gluing the right pieces together
    • Interlocking version can't be put together wrong, but you may see less quality where the walls are thin
