I'm sure that, like many who invest in robot vacuums, they do so because they feel the need to vacuum more regularly, such as having dogs, cats, and small children.
Well, that's us….
The Roborock was a game changer when first introduced, but the biggest pet peeve was the number of times it would clog up with dog hairs where the Vacuum bag met the tower in the dock. This was a design flaw I wanted to improve on.
This design uses the same filter as the robot and forms the lid of the bagless box. This allows for a near-seamless lid system for quick emptying, and with the filter as part of the lid, it provides excellent leverage for tapping out the dust.
It took a few prints to dial in the tolerances, but I still find it odd that they need a bit of sanding to allow the box to glide smoothly on and off the tower.
There are many supports that must be cleaned out; please be careful with the supports in the Groves of the Filter's lips ( I wanted a tight seal).
To Remove the original tower.
The Screws are Soft! And likely JIS. So they will come out with a PH0, but take your time, and you can reuse them to fit the new Tower.
( I ended up replacing mine with M3 button Heads)
