Description

An IDEX printer I designed. 

The main goal of this design is to mount all motors stationary, while still no control mixing required for the x-y motion system. Currently it is mostly a placeholder, I want to upload this first to encourage me to draft up instructions. I'm not sure if I ever have the spare time to tally up all the screws I used for this. But feel free to DM me if you are building one and need assistance. I will try my best. 

 

 

The project started around the summer of 2020. 

 

Features:

  • Dual extrusion with very low material wastage
  • No mixing control for x-y motion system 
  • All motors mounted stationary
  • Light x carriage 
  • Ooze cap for the extruder
  • Mostly 3D printed, need some sheet metal work for the build plate

  • Triangle frame with good access when the build plate is lowered
