Screen Customizer

Create a custom screen to fit your hole. Need to keep varmits out? Tired of bugs? This customizer will let you create screens for your holes!

Here is an example of some soffit vents I printed for my house. I ended up printing a total of 97 of them for the whole house.

Instructions

For the indention setting, picking flush will print the outside face of the screen down on the surface of the printer. Picking recessed will print the inside face of the screen down on the surface of the printer.

The screen and slicer tab settings can be left to their defaults but you'll get better results if you make sure they match the settings in your slicer.

Entering a diameter for a square screen may be weird but because of the way the customizer works, it lets you treat square screen shapes just like any other shape (and so you get square shapes for free).

You may be expecting the lines of the screen to cross on the same level (or plane) as a normal window screen. This screen maker does not do that for strength reasons. It creates long, continuous horizontal lines that help bind the screen together. 

NOTE: If the screen disappears in the slicer after you slice the custom screen you've created, set the Wall Generator to Arachne in the slicer to fix it.
