I made these key naming plates to hang our keys neatly together in a key box. Each plate can hold two keys of any size. The plate itself can be hung on any hook using the top loop.
The print is a 0.2 mm nozzle and PLA multicolor print with embedded text. With a 0.4 mm nozzle the text gets a little bit fuzzy. The plate is 1.2 mm high. I have 12 layers and the text is embedded from both sides with 3 layers of 0.1 mm. Changing of the text is easy because I added the text as objects/parts that I changed to “Modifiers” before the print. With this method, the text can be embedded and easily colored. The second print plate holds “standing” plates with the text as “Parts”. In this configuration it is easier to change the text. After that it can be cloned to the real print plate, the texts are changed to modifiers, the complete plate is flipped onto the back and it is ready to print.
