The Arcade Archive Museum in the UK recently unveiled a full-sized 3D-printed recreation of the first arcade coin-op machine, Computer Space. It's an excellent model and I want to see if I could use it to make a scale model replica to go with my other collectibles.
This is about the biggest size that can fit on the X1/A1 bed. It's almost 1:6 scale.
I plan to smooth the surface via UV resin (thickened with cornstarch) before painting with pearlescent paint to match the original arcade cabinets.
This is a WIP while I look for a screen that will fit and make a tiny control panel (although it might too small to be functional and might only be for show).
The RAW files section has an OrcaSlicer version that takes advantage of SCARF joints to help hide the seams.
