Description

A simple 3D-print that allows you to use your calipers for measuring outside grooves.

This print was designed to work with calipers with a jaw thickness of 3mm.

You need to print the following four pieces:

2x pin
1x Body
1x Body mirrored

One side fits perfectly but the other one is a bit too tight, I've tried sanding it a bit from the inside but still isn't 100% but still nice Idea! I ended up just putting the side that fits, lower so it still works.

👍 Technically those two pieces should be exactly the same though, only difference between them is that one is printed mirrored compared to the other.

Yeah, the one which is too tight looks the same (but mirrored) so it might also be my calliper set 😅

Perfect thing that I was looking for. Had tyo make a few adjustments to suit my needs, but other than that, works like a charm. Thank you for the make.

Mine are branded "HBM machines" but these look and should be the same as most cheap metal calipers that I see online. It was likely just rebranded. The jaws on mine are 3mm in thickness.

I like this. As a machinist, I spend a few bucks on tips for my groove checking adapter at work. You should make a set with the points shifted more toward the bottom to five a bit more clearance on what you're checking. You may have a boost, sir.
