Description

My Melody and Kuromi lightbox.

Profiles tuned for best results. Example shown is printed on smooth PEI plate giving a matte finish.

I found the plate type text printed on the plate transferred onto my print, hence the rotated orientation in this profile to try and avoid the text on the plate.

Model contains 5 colours, but you can sub yellow for pink to use on a single AMS.

Or do what I did and print 4 colours first with gaps where yellow should be then printed the yellow parts separately on a new plate. If you print a bunch of the yellow pieces ranging from 100% scale down to 95% scale then one of them should fit snuggly without gaps. I can't remember what percentage I ended up on, but I'd imagine it varies anyway.

The A1M profile contains a cutout for a switch.

I used the 2 pin black version without light: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_De1oObt

Very cute project had some space between the different colours but this can be an issue of material shrinking

Thanks for the review. You might need to recalibrate your black filament. Looking at the base there appears to be some under extrusion issues which would explain why you see gaps in the lightbox part. There are definitely no gaps in the model as it is based on SVG line art

Nice design but using the included profile, all the colours were separated. I had to use puzzle glue on the back to keep it together. The back plate also needs holes for hanging and LEDs.

Thanks for the comment. Are you saying when printed the pieces were not joined as one solid piece? If so, that's strange, were your filaments calibrated and using the correct temperatures? You could try increasing the flow rate.

Thanks so much for this, I'll be using it for sure. As soon as I get another Boost next week I'll boost this for sure. Is there a way to add fonts to the list? I'm assuming that the actual font file has to reside somewhere so how does it work?
