Introduction

This 2mm-thick spacer allows you to attach the Peak Design Capture v3 camera clip to thin straps without the bolt protruding through the backside and into your clothing/body. It features a hole that prevents it from separating from the clip when attaching/detaching Capture clip to your strap. It also has keying to keep it perfectly aligned at all times.

Fully seated, the standard bolt would protrude only ~0.4mm, so even the thinnest straps would work fine. Using it with other bolts (e.g. the Peak Design-supplied long bolts) will also reduce the protrusion by 2mm.

Usage

1. Print the spacer
2. Disassemble the two halves of the Peak Design Capture clip by loosening the button-side bolt and removing the fixed-side bolt.
3. Align and press the spacer onto the back of the Capture clip – the three triangular keys should fit easily into the cutouts (I have a few Capture clips and some are a snugger fit than others)
4. Re-attach the backplate and re-thread the removed bolt loosely.
5. Now you're ready to use Capture clip like normal and clamp it down on a thinner strap without the pesky bolt protruding through the backplate!
