Description

With articulated buzzing wings, a retractable stinger to protect itself, and a propeller :), this bee could have won the Kentucky Derby version of a bee race if there were one.

Spin the propeller to make the wings buzz. The GIF animation that you see couldn’t show the fast vibration even though the 3-line pattern on the wings did blur a little in a few frames. In person, spinning the propeller clockwise creates a buzz of the wings that makes the 3-line pattern a constant blur. The stinger is gravity retractable. Makes for a good fidget toy, or simply a toy or decorative model.

Easily printed with PLA without support. Please use the print profile which has modifiers set up to print certain structures for strength. The wall count and infill have been tested for the right balance of strength and flexibility for the parts to fit together. There is also one part that has been scaled up to fit.

Can be printed with small printers such as Bambu Lab A1 mini.

Easy to assemble. Instruction is provided for download. Photos are extensively used in the instruction for easy following.

The model is about 2 inches (51 mm) in diameter and 7 inches (178 mm) long with stinger extended.

WARNING: Please keep away from small children and pets. The parts can break and become choking hazard.
