Update: For people dealing with particularly unreliable printers (just like my son!!) and therefore requiring large tolerances, I've created a profile with an inner inlay featuring a 0.1mm tolerance to ensure it fits.

The 3D-printed phone and pen holder is a multifunctional accessory that serves as both a stand for your smartphone and a storage space for pens. The design of the holder is based on a clever interlocking system that requires no adhesive for assembly. The individual parts are precisely crafted to fit snugly together, forming a stable, long-lasting connection.

Instructions for Assembling the 3D-Printed Phone and Pen Holder

The 3D-printed phone and pen holder is designed to be assembled without any glue, simply by fitting the individual components together. Here's a detailed guide on how to correctly assemble the parts to ensure a stable and lasting structure:

Inspect the Parts: First, check all the printed parts for cleanliness and fit. Any print residues or burrs should be carefully removed to facilitate a smooth assembly.

Plan the Assembly: Decide which color combinations you would like to use. Keep in mind that once the parts are assembled, they fit very tightly and are not easily separated.

Make the First Connection: Start by fitting the central components together. Align the connecting parts precisely to ensure they fit together correctly.

Apply Firm Pressure: Place the assembled parts on a solid surface, such as the floor. Use your body weight to press the parts firmly together. This helps to secure the connections tightly.

Finalize the Edges: If necessary, gently tap on the edges of the assembled parts with your palm to ensure everything is securely fastened. Use enough force to fully join the parts, but be careful not to damage the material.

Final Check: After all the parts have been assembled, check the construction for stability and a tight fit of all components. The parts should seamlessly interlock and exhibit no loose connections.

The inlays are beveled on one side to facilitate fitting into the corresponding slot. Please make sure to interlock the appropriate sides (the side facing down on the printer is the visible side!).

Following these steps will ensure that your phone and pen holder is securely and firmly assembled without the need for additional glue or tools. With proper preparation and care, the holder will provide a stable and reliable addition to your desk.
