Description

This LED lightbox has a white diffuser printed with the lens to add strength. The back has an integral reflector so no need for aluminum tape or foil. There's an optional stand, plug options for the holes, a hooded hanging opening so no light leaks, and an integral strain relief to use with a zip tie to hold the wire from pulling on the LED strip.

I used all Bambu Basic and Matte PLA colors but the face/hands and bomb main case could use slightly different colors. Customize away.

If you use the stand, be sure to route the wire before soldering it up. The hole is way too small for most connectors. If using the stand, you just need the plain back plug. If wall mounting you may want to bring the wire out the bottom or maybe out the back. Just print the appropriate plugs and secure them in place using some cyanoacrylate/superglue.

The LED lights I used are Wobane self-adhesive white LED strips that come with a remote. The lightbox is all but sealed so be mindful with your lighting. In one almost complete circle of LEDs from the Wobane strips, there are 39 LEDs with a total power dissipation in the lightbox of around 3.5W. The box doesn't even feel warm except just a hair warmer (can barely tell) on the outer wall. Stay under 5W and you should be fine but keep an eye on it until you know it won't get too hot.

I use clear silicone seal to attach the lens to the body and just let it squish out while something to weight the back sits on it to hold the lens to the back while the silicone cures. After it’s cured up, the squished out excess silicone peels away super clean.
