Description

This is a RFID card (replacement) case with the typical dimensions. Print it with a soft filament (like PLA), otherwise it may break when put in a wallet. Connect the two parts with 2mm double-sided adhesive tape (typically used for smartphone repairs).

WARNING: Everything described from here on is at your own risk!

An RFID card can break if it is bent and small cracks form. This can cause the tiny copper wire connected to the RFID chip inside the card to break. The card is then defective and can no longer be read. However, it is possible to repair this card. To do this, the card must first be dissolved in acetone: place the card in a glass jar filled with acetone for 2 hours (don't use a plastic jar!!!). What remains is the copper coil and the RFID chip (which are not dissolved by the acetone).

The copper coil and the RFID chip can then be glued into the replacement RFID card bottom case using superglue and adhesive tape.

The RFID chip must be soldered to the copper coil (the polarity doesn't matter).

The RFID card case is closed with double-sided adhesive tape (2mm).
