Description

Flying Objects with the Hexagon Frame!

A distinctive feature of this frame is its ability to incorporate a transparent PETG plate during the printing process, allowing objects placed within it to appear as if they are floating.

To ensure the PETG plate is cut to the correct size, a downloadable template is provided, making the process simple and precise. Additionally, for optimal results, printing the frame with PETG material is recommended to avoid any complications when utilizing the PETG plate.

At a printing height of 23.4 mm, a pause is required to insert the PETG plate.

Furthermore, there is the option to directly print models onto the PETG plate. Tests have demonstrated excellent adhesion between the printed PETG material and the PETG plate.

I used a 1mm thick PETG plate - vivak - for the framefrom this online shop:

Vivak PET-G transparent, 250 x 500 x 1,0mm - www.kirch-onlineshop.de,

For this frame, I've modified the following two Star Wars spaceship to insert magnets:

  • Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer:

  • Millenium falcon:
