Description

I enjoy fidgeting. It helps me think. I wanted something that would work in one hand as well as two and that is quiet so I could use it in the office without incurring the wrath of my coworkers.
Hold it in your hand and flick the top with the thumb to make it spin, or twirl the base with your other hand.
Textured and feely because textures are neat. For extra smoothness, add a drop of oil at the base of the neck and let it flow between the parts. Prints in place without supports.

General 3d Printing Tips

  • Make sure your printing plate is clean! Oils from your skin will cause adhesion issues for your prints. Regularly wash your print plate with a detergent like Dawn and avoid touching the surface when removing prints from the bed.
  • If it's an option on your printer, always opt to level the bed before each print. If you have to perform this manually, make sure you do this after every few prints. It takes a bit of time and patience, but it's a fair trade for reliable prints.
  • Ensure bed and nozzle temperatures are within the expected range for the material you are printing. Temperatures that are too high or too low will affect the print negatively by causing warping, malformed layers or adhesion issues.
  • Reduce your printing speed. Slower print speed is especially important for overhangs because it gives the material more time to cool as it's deposited.

Looks nice, feels great; but unfortunately I was unable to unlock the top part to make it spin. I had a solid plug now tho 😅 Printed with PLA Galaxy green

Hmmm that does defeat its purpose... lol Right now there is 0.2 mm of clearance between the two parts. If I make you a version with more space, are you up to try it again?

Ok. I posted it as the 2nd profile in the model. Called "Wider (0.3mm) gap between handle and spinner" it is quite a bit more lose, but not overly so... I might actually like it better. It's quite spinny hehe. Let me know if it works for you, please.
