This cap is designed to prevent unintended remote button activation by providing a physical barrier over the buttons and the IR LED. It maintains convenient access to the original lens cap attachment button for standard lens protection and supports the use of the original lanyard connections. The protective cap can be easily removed when it's time to use the remote.
