Precision Positive-Locking Mechanism – An Engineered Design
This model features a precision positive-locking system that provides robust engagement in both the open and closed positions. The design has been carefully engineered to ensure safety and strength, using a well-considered set of interlocking features that require exact alignment and controlled force for secure engagement.
Assembly Details
Bill of Materials:
- SK5 Trapezoidal Blade:
Sourced from reputable vendors (Temu, AliExpress, Amazon, etc.), the blade is integrated as an essential component for the locking mechanism. Its geometry is optimized for a positive snap-fit action. - Main Body Assembly:
The main body is designed with precise interlocking features that ensure consistent alignment and secure engagement when assembled with the blade.
Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions:
- Blade Insertion:
Carefully insert the SK5 trapezoidal blade into the designated slot. A firm, controlled force is required until the blade snaps securely into place. This action confirms that the locking feature is engaging properly.

2. Integration with the Main Body:
With the blade in place, push it into the main body assembly. The design includes built-in alignment cues that ensure proper positioning of all components.

- Important Note: The initial resistance in the sliding mechanism is intentional. It is designed to prevent accidental opening during use, providing an extra layer of safety.
- Optional Adjustment: If desired, a small amount of silicone or another plastic-friendly lubricant applied with a q-tip can ease the sliding action over time while preserving the secure locking.
