The L-e-g-o Group (whose brand is graphically rendered as L-E-G-O) is a Danish toy manufacturing company founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen; is internationally known for its line of assembleable bricks whose production began in 1949, but only in 1958 did they take on the particular shape that would characterize their assembly; the name was created in 1934 from the union of the Danish words "leg godt" which means "play well". By turnover it is the largest toy manufacturing company in the world.
