The L-e-g-o Group (whose brand is graphically rendered as L-E-G-O) is a Danish toy manufacturing company founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen; is internationally known for its line of assembleable bricks whose production began in 1949, but only in 1958 did they take on the particular shape that would characterize their assembly; the name was created in 1934 from the union of the Danish words "leg godt" which means "play well".
