Description

Easy to print, low-cost, but solves a big problem!

QIDI Q1 Pro is a great printer, equipped with a heated chamber, which is very friendly for printing high-shrinkage materials like ABS. I really like it.

However, when printing with low-temperature materials, it often suffers from nozzle clogs and inconsistent extrusion, which can be quite frustrating. So I designed this little thing to help the hot end dissipate heat better, alleviating those annoying issues. It’s also very low-cost, and if you have the QIDI Q1 Pro, this mod is well worth it.

  • About the assembly:
    - No additional screws are needed; just use the original factory screws.
    - You need to remove the two M2.5 screws that secure the fan, then align the screw holes of the air duct, and finally tighten the two M3 screws that hold the hot end.

Thank you! It literally enabled me to print with PLA on my Q1 Pro without being forced to unscrew the hotend EVERY TIME I changed the filament. Thank you! Printed mine with CA12-CF.

I printed it out and installed it, but the sound of the fan became sharper and louder. I wish there was a supplement.

If you just hear a bit more high-pitched noise, that's normal because the air duct can cause some turbulence. But if the noise is really noticeable, you should check to see if there's anything stuck in the fan blades.

Thanks, I will try it. Printing it with ABS is sufficient?

Yep, ABS maybe is the better choice!
