Description

Today I got something different!

World of Warcraft Arathi Basin Horde Flag.

If you are just like me – World of Warcraft classic times fan, who spent hours and hours fighting in AB to keep this flag up as long as possible, I think you may be interested in having one on your desk! And as long as you don’t have Alliance Agent at your home, tomorrow it should be there even without prottecting it :)

Citizens of the Alliance! Next weekend I’m planning to work on your version of the flag, so expect blue one with golden lion as well.

About the model:

18cm tall, 9.7cm wide. Perfect desk size.

Designed to be assembled without glueing. You need to print base part of the stand, two flag hangers (this part require support for square connectors to stand base if you printing it in mounting orientation) and two flags. Print it with 3 walls with 15-20% infill, 0.2mm layer height.

All model parts are 3mf - just import them to slicer same way as stl.

After color painting it can be printed in multicolor on Bambu Lab with AMS. I printed mine on Ender 3 V2 in white and then I just painted it. Also possible to print parts separately in chosen colors (preferably grey and red) and just use it like this. Horde logo is clearly visible even without painting – see last photo.

If you like this model please log in, download it and print it. I hope you enjoy it :)

I will be gratefull if a user of Bambu Lab printer prepare print profile for this model. It will really help me and others. I don’t have Bambu Lab printer so I can’t make it. MakerWorld require me to confirm my profiles are printable and I can’t do it without actually printing the model on right printer :(

Thank you Deno for posting print profiles! How 0.8mm nozzle works for you? Stand and hangers are simple object so I don't see any problems here, but the flags? I'm working now on Alliance version of Arathi Basin flags. Due to complicated logo design it will deffinitely require 0.4mm nozzle or smaller. Does Horde logo print well on 0.8mm? Also, layer height should be 0.2mm. I designed flags to have 7 layers by 0.2mm (1.4mm total). 2 layes front part, another 3 layers for recessed white frame around logo, then again 2 layers for back part. That gives 0.4mm difference between front and back flag parts and white frame around logo. Not sure what slicer will do with 0.24mm layer hight, hopefully you did not lost any layer. Will check your profile later at home. Thanks again for sharing!

yeah is rather rough and one banner got destroyed while printing. I’ll definitely try a smaller layer size. I just had the 0.8 fitted and gave it a try, with finer nozzles this will look pristine

I've just seen the picture. Some details are lost indeed, especialy on the torn edge of the banner. Well, you may always say your flag is a bit rough... as Horde itself! :) Yeah, 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height is the way to go. Please post new profile if you decide to print it again and if it's not too much hassle for you. Thank you Deno :)
