Description

The wheels on our KitchenAid dishwasher keep falling off because the retainer clips have degraded over time. There are several versions of this part across other sites, but I couldn't find one I liked so I modeled my own. It went through several iterations to ensure a good snug fit and function. Enjoy the satisfying “click” when it's fully installed!

  • Check to make sure your wheel design uses this type of retainer clip. It appears the same wheel design is used across many (but likely not all) Kenmore, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid models.
  • Use a high temp filament like ABS, PETG, etc.
  • I recommend using enough layers and walls to print a solid part or used the included print profile.

If you like this design or if I've saved you some time, please consider giving this model a Boost!

I only have a model for the wheel retainer. I reused the old wheels. If you search for "Dishwasher Wheel" it appears there are a couple models for the wheels.

Worked perfectly in my KitchenAid dishwasher. One of the tabs broke off when inserting (Petg) , so I suggest printing an extra or two just in case.

Been spending about $40 a year on replacement parts for my Kitchen Aid. Printed 20 of these and should be good for the year. First set is holding up great so far.

I printed with Bambu PETG-HF. My first print, as-is with the forked shaft/post pointing up, resulted in the shaft snapping in half along a layer line, after 1 wash. That makes sense to me since the shaft experiences shear forces when in use. My second print of it, rotated 90degrees, resulted in a much stronger print and I have had no further issues even after a dozen wash cycles. Thanks for this model!
